Mood: waiting for wind
5th April 2010

Wind Direction: SW
Wind Stength: 20mph
Surf / Sea State: Camber waves stylee
Air Temperature: ok
Sea Temperature: ok
Weather: bright & breezy
Max Speed:
Distance Covered:

Not as long a sesh as the hardcore Camber Posse (well RichC anyway), but a decent couple of hours.
Didn't start so good as sruggled to plane, really on and off but just enough 'on' for me to persist with the 5.9m Duke / Freewave 115 combo (resisting changing up for 6.4m due to low tide hike !)
Glad I stuck in there as it filled in a little and pretty soon I was making good ground upwind and confident enough to go for a few jumps without worrying about getting going again.
Couple little wave wiggles, few jumps, and even some gybes ... not suggesting any of the above was done with any real style, but in a 'taking it easy' kinda way, I had a good time.
Was considering changing down to the Freewave 95 but made the fatal mistake of checking my phone as I re-hydrated, and was cordially reminded of family duties .... tempting as it was to ignore these, truth was I had had sufficient fun, and going for another session could be pushing it a touch too far ... so I bailed and left the posse to enjoy what was left of the wind.
Mojo restoration coming along nicely .... :-)
